Influence of Flexographic Photopolymer-Plate Residue Incorporation on the Mechanical Properties of Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Polyester Composites

چکیده

In this study, the effects of incorporating recycled photopolymer-plate residues from a packaging flexography process into polyester-glass fiber composites were examined. Ternary with an unsaturated polyester matrix elastomer particles evaluated using two types glass fibers: in forms fabric bidirectional fibers and blanket multidirectional fibers. The prepared by hand lay-up lamination different rubber contents (0, 2.5, 5, 10 wt% based on resin mass fraction), characterized for their void content, flexural impact strengths, dynamic mechanical properties. Primary results indicated that incorporation increased difficulty lamination, while promoting greater formation higher filler content. decreased resistance properties but did not reduce strength or storage modulus, indicating despite elastomeric composition, residue photopolymer plates showed reinforcing rather than toughening character.

Mechanical properties of woven glass fiber-reinforced composites.

The aim of this investigation was to measure the flexural and compressive strengths and the corresponding moduli of cylindrical composite specimens reinforced with woven glass fiber. Test specimens were made by light-curing urethane dimethacrylate oligomer with woven glass fiber of 0.18-mm standard thickness. Tests were conducted using four reinforcement methods and two specimen diameters. Flex...

Comparative analysis of the mechanical and thermal properties of polyester hybrid composites reinforced by jute and glass fiber

This work describes the study to investigate and compare the mechanical and thermal properties of raw jute and glass fiber reinforced polyester hybrid composites. To improve the mechanical properties, jute fiber was hybridized with glass fiber. Polyester resin, jute and glass fibers were laminated in three weight ratios(77/23/0, 68/25/7 and 56/21/23) respectively to form composites. The tensile...
